How the site handles personal data is explained in the Privacy policy.
What this site is
alexandrugurau.com is my personal portfolio. It shows my work as a product designer and developer, mainly for people hiring for product and UX design roles. It doesn’t sell anything, and nothing on it is an offer to enter into a contract.
Work for businesses goes through Nodbit SRL, the web studio I founded, a separate company with its own site at nodbit.ro.
Copyright
© 2026 Alexandru Gurau. Unless stated otherwise, the text, design and code of this site are mine, and all rights are reserved. Some case studies show work made for or with others; the rights in that work stay with their owners.
You’re welcome to link to any page and to quote short passages with a credit and a link. For anything more, such as reusing designs, images or code, please ask me first.
Names and trademarks
Product and company names in the case studies, such as Calendly, Fresha, SimplyBook, Booksy, Stripe, WhatsApp and Figma, are trademarks of their owners. I use them only to describe my work; this doesn’t mean they endorse me or that I’m affiliated with them.
The GitHub logo is a trademark of GitHub, Inc., and the LinkedIn logo, where shown, a trademark of LinkedIn Corporation. I use them only to link to my own profiles.
Fonts, icons and open-source software
The site is built with open-source fonts, icons and libraries, used under their licences:
- Figtree
- Copyright 2022 The Figtree Project Authors. SIL Open Font License 1.1
- Newsreader
- Copyright 2020 The Newsreader Project Authors. SIL Open Font License 1.1
- Lucide icons
- Copyright Lucide Icons and Contributors; icons from Feather copyright 2013-present Cole Bemis. ISC and MIT licences
- Brand icons
- GitHub and LinkedIn icon shapes from Simple Icons, released under CC0 1.0. The marks remain their owners’ trademarks.
- Libraries
- Among them React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, Motion, next-themes and tailwind-merge, each copyright its authors, under the MIT License; and SWC helpers, which Next.js includes in the code your browser runs, copyright its authors, under the Apache License 2.0
Links to other sites
I link to other sites, such as GitHub, Nottral and Nodbit. I don’t control them, so I can’t vouch for their content or availability, and their own terms and privacy policies apply. If a link leads somewhere it shouldn’t, please tell me.
Accuracy
I write everything here with care, but it describes my work as it stood when I wrote it. Figures in the case studies are as measured or reported at the time each study was written, and may have changed since. If you spot a mistake, please tell me.
Accessibility
I want everyone to be able to use this site, whatever device, browser or assistive technology they use. This statement is voluntary: EU accessibility law doesn’t cover a personal portfolio, but accessibility is part of my work.
- Target
- WCAG 2.2, level AA
- Status
- Not independently audited, so I don’t claim full conformance. I fix problems as I find them.
- Testing
- Automated axe-core checks (rules for WCAG 2.0 levels A and AA, WCAG 2.1 level AA, and best practices) of every public page and the page-not-found page, in light and dark mode, with no violations allowed, on every change to the site’s code. Automated keyboard tests of focus order and visible focus, and checks that motion follows your reduced-motion setting.
- Known limits
- Some case study images aren’t ready yet; their places describe what the image will show. Text and images I add later through the admin area aren’t covered by the automated checks, and automated tests can’t catch every problem.
